Independently Contracted Instructor
For High Intensity Interval Training & Conditioning small group sessions
Scheduling available for Tuesdays/Thursdays and some Saturdays
Job Overview
We are searching for an energetic, knowledgeable and passionate Independently Contracted instructor to add value to our team and studio programs. The ideal candidate will design small group fitness programs for High Intensity Interval Training and Conditioning sessions, work directly with clients to track progress, and ensure each session is tailored to individual fitness goals and needs. You will make a significant impact on clients' health and well-being, helping them achieve and maintain a healthier lifestyle. The days available for the candidate to schedule their desired small group fitness sessions are Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, with an opportunity for some weekends if desired.
Key Responsibilities of the Independent Contractor
Develop High Intensity Interval Training and Conditioning Programs that compliment Vitality Health & Fitness strength and conditioning programming
Ensure programming meets the needs of all clients
Be knowledgeable of client intake meetings or incoming notes pertaining to clients movement history, restrictions or limitations
Conduct group training sessions, offering support and guidance throughout each workout
Monitor client progress, providing feedback and adjusting programs to ensure continued improvement
Educate clients on proper exercise techniques to minimize injury and maximize effectiveness
Collaborate with clients to build long-term fitness habits, emphasizing the importance of consistency and perseverance
Track attendance and help maintain client records
Be committed to consistently scheduled class times
Provide Vitality Health & Fitness with the following months schedule by the 15th of the previous month
Be trained and knowledgable in emergency and first aid procedures
Proof of independent liability insurance
Communication of health and fitness motivation is in line with the Vitality Health & Fitness approach to health and fitness
Be willing to commit to a 6 month term/contract
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Instructor or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of exercise science and human anatomy
Excellent communication and motivational skills, with a focus on client success
Ability to create tailored fitness programs that meet the unique needs of each client
Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal training or a related field is preferred
Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) credential from an accredited organization (e.g., NASM, ISSA, CanFitPro).
Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or related field is preferred
Preferred Skills
Experience working with clients from diverse fitness levels and backgrounds
Highly reliable to follow through with scheduled sessions and be on time and prepared
Strong organizational skills to manage client scheduling and documentation
